On the second day, we will be teaching students what home and family life was like in colonial America.
Motivation
I will motivate the students by posting the large poster board of pictures and asking students what they think the pictures are of.
We will find out how much the students know about our topic by listening to their answers when they try to tell us what the pictures are of. We will also use some guiding questions based off of the pictures. For example, “This is a colonial house, very good. How many people do you think lived in these houses?”
